One of the best cold sore remedies is stress reduction. It’s no secret that stress is a major factor for cold sores. Anything that depresses the body’s immune system makes the body rife for cold sore outbreaks.
So, what can you do to reduce stress? Here are some things that helped me out and live a stress (and cold sore) free life.
-- Take a walk and enjoy nature. When you’re enduring the hustle and bustle of everyday life, take a second and take a walk in the park. Enjoy Nature. Watch kids play on the swing set. Remember how stress-free you were as a kid and you’ll alleviate stress in short order.
-- Exercise. It’s no secret that exercise provides an excellent outlet for stress reduction. Unfortunately, very few Americans hit the gym or even walk up the stairs. The increasing laziness of today’s culture makes cold sore sufferers prone to outbreaks.
-- Get a massage. One of the most relaxing things I do every week is get a 30 minute massage. It only costs about 50 bucks or so, but I feel so relaxed. It also makes my cold sores go away as well.
-- Do yoga. This is one of the best cold sore remedies. It sort of fits in with exercise, but yoga is in a class all by itself. There are very few exercises that will you get strength, endurance, and cardio training all at once. This will alleviate your stress and your cold sores.
